Intuition - Your own best wisdom
If you’re feeling stuck, it can sound trite and not very helpful to be told that you have all the wisdom you need already.
And yet, this is a core, foundational truth.
We each have a deep source of personal wisdom inside us, a wisdom that knows what our soul is longing to do in our lives, what our deepest calling is, what gives us joy and lights us up.
The problem is, there are many things that can get in the way of recognizing or trusting that wisdom.
Does this sound like you?
You’re not happy with something in your life, but you’re not sure what to do about it
You feel like there are a bunch of voices telling you different things and you don’t know which to listen to
You know something needs to change but you don’t see any good options
If you’re feeling disconnected from your sense of knowing around these big questions, try noticing what you are actually really clear about.
I am very clear that I want to eat peanut butter for breakfast.
I am very clear that I don’t want to be in this meeting right now.
I am very clear that something doesn’t feel right in my relationship.
I am very clear that I am angry, even if I can’t articulate why.
Notice how that clarity feels. Sit in that feeling for a moment. Breathe.
Connecting to your inner wisdom is a skill that you can practice. Over time you’ll start to recognize what you’re clear about more and more.
The voice of your intuition will start to have more resonance than the voices that tell you you’re not enough or that there aren’t any good options.
You’ll learn to trust the deep wisdom inside of you.
